On February 1st, 2024, at the Italian Embassy in Belgrade, a ceremony was held for the purpose of marking the opening of Cassa depositi e prestiti – CDP, the first office of the Italian payment institution outside the territory of the European Union.
As stated at the opening, this office is opened in accordance with the role of the same Italian financial institution and is part of a wider strategy aimed at strengthening its presence and activities in support of sustainable development initiatives of Italian companies in expanding economies. Also, this office will have its strong role and action in relation to the entire territory of the Western Balkans, as evidenced by the fact that an agreement with Unicredit Bank on a credit line worth 40 million euros was immediately signed.
